Team Leader/Experienced Climber

At RFP Tree and Landscape Services Ltd, we pride ourselves in being investors in people. Our clients are Estate owners, domestic home owners, Utility companies, Ecology contractors and Arboricultural surveyors. Our yard is based in Hornblotton and we cover work in and around the South West area. We are looking for a full time experienced Team Leader to run one of our Domestic/Commercial Arboricultural teams. There is also an opportunity for an experienced Climber to join our busy hard working teams.

Job Specification:

  • Lead and manage a small team of tree surgeons on various Domestic and Commercial projects
  • Ensure that machinery and equipment is maintained to a high standard and that faults are recorded and reported
  • Communicate effectively with your manager to give them a daily progress report on each job
  • Work well with subcontractors and direct staff to deliver projects on time and to a high standard
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that their needs are being met
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies

Person Specification:

  • Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Experience in conducting site assessments and risk evaluations to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing professional advice and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Good communication, positive attitude and good attention to detail
  • Highly motivated
  • Be able to work as part of a team to the highest standard
  • Excellent time management
  • Must be hard working, polite, reliable, presentable and organised
  • Be passionate about continual professional development and self motivation to expand their learning
  • Full UK driving license and preferably experience with towing
